Labelling of molecules with PET-radioisotopes is required in the development of new radioligands for PET medical imaging.
However, due to the short half-life of the used isotopes, efficient and rapid reactions are required to incorporate these radionucleides to molecules.

Carbon-11 radiochemistry.

Because of the short half-time of 20.4 min of carbon-11, radiochemistry with this isotope must use rapid reactions. In this line, we have developed a direct radiomethylation reaction using [11C]CO2, directly produced by the cyclotron.
